Welcome to Speak Recipe. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using this website and app.
By accessing or using Speak Recipe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or app.
1. What Speak Recipe Does
Speak Recipe is a web-based app that helps users turn spoken or typed cooking instructions into organized written recipes.
The app may help format recipe titles, ingredients, measurements, steps, notes, and cookbook-style content. Speak Recipe is intended to help organize recipe information. It does not guarantee that recipe results will be complete, accurate, safe, or suitable for every user.
2. User Responsibility
You are responsible for the information you choose to enter, speak, save, upload, print, export, or share through Speak Recipe.
You agree not to enter sensitive personal information, private information, financial information, medical information, passwords, account numbers, or anything you would not want processed as part of your recipe content.
You are responsible for reviewing all recipe results before using them. AI-formatted recipes may contain mistakes, missing information, incorrect measurements, unclear instructions, or unsafe cooking assumptions.
3. Food Safety and Recipe Accuracy
Speak Recipe does not provide professional cooking, nutrition, allergy, medical, or food safety advice.
You are responsible for confirming that recipes are safe, accurate, and appropriate for your needs. This includes checking:
- ingredients
- measurements
- cooking temperatures
- cooking times
- food storage instructions
- allergy information
- dietary restrictions
- food safety requirements
Do not rely solely on Speak Recipe for food safety, allergy safety, nutrition, or medical decisions.
4. Microphone and Voice Features
Speak Recipe may allow you to use your device’s built-in microphone to speak recipe instructions.
Microphone access is controlled by your device, browser, or operating system. You may be asked to allow microphone access before using voice features.
Speak Recipe does not intentionally turn on your microphone without your permission. You can disable microphone access through your browser or device settings.
Depending on your device, browser, and settings, spoken input may be converted into text by your device, browser, operating system, or a speech-to-text service. Speak Recipe uses the resulting text to help create and organize recipes.
5. Use of AI Services
Speak Recipe may send recipe text you provide to an AI service, such as Anthropic’s Claude API, to help organize and format the recipe.
This may include recipe titles, ingredients, measurements, instructions, notes, cookbook sections, or other recipe-related content.
The AI service is used to help process the information you choose to provide. You should not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information as part of your recipe content.
AI-generated or AI-formatted content may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all results.
6. Accounts and Membership Access
Some features of Speak Recipe may require an account, login, paid membership, or subscription.
If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your login information secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Speak Recipe may use WordPress, SureMembers, SureCart, Stripe, and related tools to manage access, subscriptions, payments, and protected app features.
We may suspend or terminate access if there is suspected misuse, nonpayment, fraud, abuse, security risk, violation of these Terms, or other reasonable operational concern.
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Payments may be processed by Stripe through SureCart or related checkout tools.
By purchasing a subscription or paid access, you agree to the price, billing cycle, renewal terms, trial terms, and cancellation terms shown at checkout.
If a subscription is recurring, you authorize the payment provider to charge your selected payment method according to the subscription terms you accepted at checkout.
Speak Recipe does not intentionally store full credit card numbers on this website. Payment information is handled by Stripe and related payment tools according to their own terms, policies, and security practices.
8. Cancellations
You are responsible for canceling your subscription if you no longer want paid access.

Canceling a subscription generally stops future billing but does not automatically refund previous payments unless stated otherwise or required by law.
9. Refunds
Unless a separate refund policy is posted, all payments are final once processed.
We may choose to issue a refund at our discretion, but we are not required to do so unless required by law or clearly stated in a written refund policy.
If you offer a free trial, you may want to replace this section with your specific trial and refund rules.
10. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, access to paid features may be paused, restricted, or canceled.
The payment provider or subscription system may attempt to retry payment according to its normal billing process. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
11. What Information May Be Shared With Service Providers
To operate Speak Recipe, limited information may be shared with third-party services as needed.

- membership access tools, such as SureMembers
- website hosting providers
- AI formatting services
- speech-to-text services
- email delivery services
- security tools
- spam prevention tools
- analytics tools, if enabled
Information may be shared only as needed to provide website functionality, process payments, manage subscriptions, control access, format recipes, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, or operate the service.
We do not sell users’ recipe content.
12. Website Maintenance and Security
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website, WordPress installation, plugins, themes, and related tools updated and maintained in accordance with common website security and maintenance best practices.
However, no website, app, plugin, hosting provider, internet transmission, payment system, AI service, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or error-free.
By using Speak Recipe, you understand that you are responsible for the information you choose to submit.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Speak Recipe to:
- break any law or regulation
- submit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
- attempt to access another user’s account
- interfere with the operation of the website or app
- attempt to copy, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or damage the app
- upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- use the service to store sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information
- misuse the AI formatting feature
- violate the rights of another person or business
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe these Terms have been violated.
14. User Content
You retain responsibility for the recipe content you enter, save, or share through Speak Recipe.
By using the app, you give Speak Recipe permission to process the content you provide for the purpose of operating the app, including formatting, saving, displaying, printing, exporting, or sharing recipes as requested by you.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any content you enter into the app.
15. Intellectual Property
Speak Recipe, including the website design, app features, branding, text, layout, tools, and related materials, is owned by Speak Recipe or its owner, unless otherwise stated.
You may use the app for your own personal or permitted business use, but you may not copy, resell, reproduce, or redistribute the app itself without written permission.
Your own recipe content remains your responsibility.
16. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep Speak Recipe available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The website or app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, hosting problems, third-party service outages, internet issues, plugin conflicts, security concerns, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may update, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

Speak Recipe may rely on third-party services to provide important features, including payments, memberships, subscriptions, AI formatting, hosting, security, email delivery, and other website functions.
We are not responsible for the actions, availability, errors, policies, or security practices of third-party services.

Speak Recipe is provided as a helpful tool, but we do not guarantee that it will produce perfect recipes, accurate measurements, complete instructions, business results, income, savings, or any specific outcome.
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, testing, and verifying all recipe content before using or sharing it.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speak Recipe and its owner are not liable for damages, losses, claims, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the website or app.
This includes, but is not limited to, issues related to recipe errors, food preparation, allergies, payment processing, account access, third-party services, website downtime, data loss, unauthorized access, or reliance on AI-formatted content.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
20. Indemnification
You agree to hold harmless Speak Recipe and its owner from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the website or app, your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the service.
21. Children’s Use
Speak Recipe is not intended for children under 13.
Users under 13 should not use the website or app or submit information through the service.
